So, in the end, Kate never had to have a C-section.
It was close though.
At one point she was completely whooped ... she'd been pushing for hours, was loaded with drugs and hadn't slept in nearly two days. Even threatened the doctors to walk out of the hospital with the kid still in her belly.
But, she took a break. Recharged her battery. And after another half hour (and the help of a plunger) she made it happen.
Pretty amazing.
And it was great to have her mom there for support. But, Carol did earn a "STOP ASKING ME FUCKING QUESTIONS WHILE I'M HAVING CONTRACTIONS!!" from the mother-to-be.
While I on the other hand, didn't get yelled at once. (Although I did get the "I can't believe you did this to me," look a few times.)

Hi Jacob and Kate - Congratulations on your beautiful new addition to your family - althogh Kate you don't know me, Jacob can give you a quick background ;-) And Jacob - it's been a while, but mom keeps me in the loop by talking to your mom ;-) So i just wanted to congratulate you on your accomplishment (no not being a father) but more importantly not getting yelled at during the delivery ;-)) Enjoy Adrian and all the joys kids bring - your lives will never be the same, but that's in a great way - being a parent is the best thing in life! All the best...you've done a great job on this blog too and keeping a good record of all the events and also sacrifices Kate has had to go through ;-)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! We are so excited for you and cannot wait to meet Adrian. Kate, you are a trooper! Can't wait for more pics (hint hint, Jake). :) Love, David and Cheryl :)
